DJ Troublemaker has done a shit load of tracks this year. 2009 isn't even over yet. From remixing heavy hitter Mastodon to tackling the indie crazy of the summer of Phoenix's 1901. The man can make a mean mix. This time it's for one of my favorites - Matt & Kim's "Daylight." Spice it up with a nice touch of De La Soul aaannd, done.
Matt & Kim have released their second video from their latest album, Grand entitled "Lessons Learned." It's certainly liberating, to say the least, with an ending that caught me a little off guard.

After all the hype and heavy rotation of Animal Collective's MPP on my pod and my recent return to life [broken clavicle shiitttt] I nearly forgot about Matt & Kim's January 20th release of Grand. Might be old news to some, but whatever. Here's a video of their new song "Daylight." Looks like they had a blast making it. Good, fun, upbeat song too. Nothing else was expected. [Hey, Blogotheque, get on this shit.]

I decided to leave it up to SPIN and the rest of the music blog world to give you Inauguration Day concert information.
Spin Magazine gave 4/5 stars to Animal Collective's newest effort "Merriweather Post Pavilion." The review is pretty dead on I'd say. And I'm not really a big fan of Spin. Look for my own review of this album to come soon. It's been on repeat ever since I received it and I'm just making sure I got it down pat. If you have already heard it I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. All I'm saying is... top 10 of 2009. Booyah. [read Spin's review: here]

Matt & Kim [of Brooklyn dance-punk fame] will be releasing a sophomore album entitled The Grand the same day that AC's MPP comes out. I'm psyched for this. The first time I heard their self-titled album all I wanted to do was get wild. No album I heard from 2008 really let me do that.
