You should know by now that I really love me some Beastie Boys. Here's an unmastered version of that song they've been playing live featuring Nas from the upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1

[Reissue] The Beastie Boys - Ill Communication

Just as I thought. The Beastie Boys will be reissuing one of my fave albums of all time - Ill Communication on July 14th via Capitol Records. They've already released reissues of Paul's Boutique and Check Your Head. This is the same kinda deal - tons of packages including a digital download, a double standard 180 gram vinyl, a double CD package and of course the mighty limited Collector's Vinyl package which is pretty intense. Check all of em out on their website and get your pre-order on. While you're there, you can also listen to the entire remastered version right now since it's streaming

Be sure to keep a look out for more Beastie news soon...

[Video] The Beastie Boys on Fallon - So What'cha Want

One of my faves were on Jimmy Fallon last night talking about a NEW album coming out in September. Then they teamed up with the The Roots to play So What'cha Want. Made me smile. Check it out:

NEW Beastie Boys "Lee Majors Come Again"

Apparently, some copies of The Beastie Boys reissued Check Your Head came with a 7" which included new tracks. Check out the fuzz induced, old-school-feeling "Lee Majors Come Again." Be sure to catch them at this years All Points West, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

B Boys Makin' With The Freak Freak

The Beastie Boys have been one of my favorite groups for a looong time [with the exception of 5 Boroughs]. So I was excited to hear that they will be releasing a special 20th anniversary remastered edition of "Paul's Boutique" along with special add on's like a digital download of Beastie commentary and fully restored vinyl artwork on an 8-panel fold out poster. Everything a Beastie's fan could ask for. I wish they could've also released it on vinyl though. Anyway. Release date is January 27th.

Pre-order your copy at Insound.

PS: they should really do a re-issue of Check Your Head. Anyone agree?
