Hanukkah is over and my gifts have been unwrapped for more than a week. But I'll be honest, I do love me some christmas song covers. Maybe it's the redundant and ear-scratching sound of the retail world we live in that decided it was a good idea to play that chimpmunks song on repeat that lets me enjoy the interpretations and that warm feeling I get when listening to these songs.

Throw Me The Statues new video for their song "Hi-Fi Goon" shows the guys going on a wild elephant chase though town [after they played Jumangi?] and end up catching sasquatch - wait no, it's a pretty girl in a white fur coat. I guess they gave up and decided to play poolside. hm

This was premiered on a few days ago on bjork.com. When interviewed for NPR, Bjork had these kind words to say:

"I saw her in London, in June, a year ago and I was really excited about her. I thought it was that sort of 'do it yourself' approach, with all these little guitars and her attitude was really fresh… think it's really, really fun. (She)is a bit of a prankster really, isn't she?"
