After releasing 2007's All We Could Do Was Sing, I kept a special place in my music heart for California/Alaska's Port O'Brien. They recently released the details on their new album via twitter [@portobrien] vicariously through Pitchfork. Threadbare is due out Oct 6th via TBD Records.

Check out a new song called "Sour Milk/Salt Water." A powerful americana/folk inspired rock song with lyrics sung almost as fast as Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire." I really dig the deep cello in the background
